I bought my first property—a single‑family home I found at a garage sale—for $7,500. That unexpected purchase sparked what became a lifelong obsession with real estate.

Six years later, while still working 40+ hours a week at a local manufacturing company, I owned and managed 55 residential units. The pace was intense, but the momentum was undeniable.

Over time, that portfolio grew to more than 100 residential units and nearly 500,000 square feet of commercial and industrial property across Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Holland. And yes—I was still working full‑time at the same manufacturing company through all of it.

Twelve years into my investing journey, I purchased that very manufacturing company. From the lowest position on the ladder to president and owner in just 15 years—proof that discipline, persistence, and smart investing can change everything.
